In the wake of the terrorist attack at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris — an attack and resulting manhunt that claimed 17 lives in all — the people of France came together in a show of solidarity that continues to reverberate across the globe.
With a “Je Suis Charlie” (“I Am Charlie” in English) sign in one hand and a pen or pencil in the other, thousands of demonstrators of every religion, color and creed have gathered around the world to condemn the murders and show their support for freedom of expression.
