Another awesomely odd ‘holiday’ has reached our ears, and we just can’t help but use it as an excuse to put together a fun collection of photos. Especially since, this time, the holiday is especially delicious.

It’s National Donut Day! A very real holiday celebrated in the USA on the first Friday of June. According to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, it was established by the by The Salvation Army on June 7, 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.

So, do your best to forget that National Running Day was just a few days ago, and spend today gorging your face with delicious doughey confections…
