How much are your photos worth? Last December, photographer Peter Lik made headlines when he broke records by selling one of his prints for $6.5 million to a collector, leading many to wonder why Lik could sell his work for so much while the rest of us swim in much more frugal waters.

The most honest answer, however, might be that there is no answer. Where the value of art is concerned, there are few solid “facts”… just perception.

To prove this point, we give you a recently-viral video by digital production and seeding agency LifeHunters, who took a $10 print from IKEA’s street collection, put it up in a Dutch art museum, and then asked ‘art experts’ to comment on its qualities and worth.
