If you’re new to portrait photography, or just want to up your game, Chris Gampat over at The Phoblographer has a useful infographic for you. Shared on their blog this morning, this is one you should definitely save and reference until you’ve got these basic points down.
From moving the hair to one side, to being mindful of hand positioning, to the ever-important chin-tilt, several important points are covered (click here for full-res):
It’s worth noting, as Gampat did on The Phoblographer, that this only applies to an upper half portrait. “When the other half of the subject is involved,” he notes, “then there is much more to worry about.”
