Bruce Omori takes, literally, the hottest photos on 500px: the Big Island native specializes in photographing the extreme and extremely beautiful lava landscapes of his home state of Hawaii.
Along with his partner-in-crime Tom Kuali’i, the two run the photo tour company/website Extreme Exposure through which they, “strive to capture the essence and spirit of our island in every image we shoot, from explosive volcanic action to soothing seascapes.”
And they succeed in spades. This was initially going to be simply a collection of the best lava images on 500px… until we realized Bruce or someone he took on a tour captured almost every top lava image that has been shared by our community!
