Great architecture photography often looks a certain way. Visit the Popular page for the City & Architecture category on 500px and the architecture photos are usually black and white, often involve massive buildings photographed looking up, and are frequently captured through an ND filter so you get beautiful, streaming clouds overhead.
The architecture photography of ‘visual explorer’ Ivan Sidorenko does NOT fit neatly into this description.
Concerned more with patterns then massive buildings, preferring desaturated color to high-contrast black & white, and often including a person or people (or a plane…) for scale, the Shenzhen, China-based photographer might be said to belong to the “Instagram” generation where film and film emulation is king… and we love it!
