In New York City at the moment? Then get your cameras ready for the Manhattanhenge, a.k.a. the Manhattan Solstice tomorrow—May 29th. The sun will set in perfect alignment with Manhattan’s street grid, and New Yorkers looking west will be able to catch the sunset between buildings. This unique urban phenomenon occurs only twice a year.
“This year, the sun will set on the grid with half the disk above the horizon and half below on Thursday, May 29 at 8:16 p.m. EDT,” reports Business Insider.

Needs tips on where to get the best view of this special sunset? In this handy guide, Neil DeGrasse Tyson of the Hayden Planetarium suggests the following:
1. Arrive 30 minutes before the sun sets on the grid.
2. Positioning yourself as far east in Manhattan as possible, but ensure that when you look west across the avenues you can still see New Jersey.
3. Clear cross streets include 14th, 23rd, 34th. 42nd, 57th, and several streets adjacent to them.
4. The Empire State building and the Chrysler building render 34th street and 42nd streets especially striking vistas.
